Nanohydrodynamics

presented at the group seminar on 1/10/2008

Abstract:

In the last seminar, I talked about "Microhydrodynamics" and the Stokesian dynamics method. At this time, we put a step forward to the nano-scale and I'll present the Stokesian-Brownian dynamics method. Besides the hydrodynamics interaction, the Brownian force is more important for the objects (solutes) in the fluid (solvent) in nano-scale than micro-scale. Particles and DNA molecule in the flows are discussed.
